Give it away - DrilineBaby review and giveaway

CLOSED

This may come as surprise to many of you, but I have a little "thing" for cloth diapers.  Sometimes when I'm bored, I actually cruise the internet looking for new diapers!  I'm sure I'm not alone, right?

I found Driline Baby by chance on one such venture. Driline Baby is a company that designs, manufactures, and sells not only reusable baby diapers, but also incontinence products and menstrual pads...and they've been around for more than 20 years!  Their diapers are "diaper service quality."  They sounded great to me!

Driline sent me a variety pack of diapers!  I was super excited to receive the package, as I was hoping to get a Pumpkin Patch diaper to try.  When I opened the box, however, there was not only a Pumpkin Patch but a Bamboo Baby AIO, a Snap to Fit cover, and a Dri-bag as well!  What a great set!

As I mentioned, I was super excited about the Pumpkin Patch diaper.
Unfortunately, the one they sent appears to be a size medium, which if for newborn to 15 pounds.  That's WAY too small for Stinky!  But, I love it.  It is super soft, both inside and outside!  It looks and feels very absorbent as well.

The Snap to Fit cover is great, too...as long as I put Stinky in a pair of pants while he's wearing it!

(As you may know, Stinky is an Aplix MASTER!)  The fit of the cover is great, though, and it hasn't leaked when he's worn it!  I really like the way it covers.  The Aplix holds tight and still looks nice after several washings.  There are laundry tabs to prevent diaper chains as well, which is a very important feature!

I really like the Bamboo Baby AIO.  It has an attached soaker, with is always a plus for me!  I like the absorbency it provides, but also the quick drying time.  I LOVE the fit of the Bamboo Baby AIO!  It is a super trim fit, similar to a disposable!

The Aplix on this diaper fits so snugly!  There are crossover tabs, but Stinky is just barely too big to cross over.  He wears it with the tabs touching.

This morning, in fact, Stinky wore this diaper for 3+ hours with no leaks.  It's not a great overnight diaper for him, but it is fantastic in the day!

Finally, Driline Baby sent a Dri-bag.

I wasn't so sure about the bag at first.  Sure, it's big.  But the fabric isn't as stretchy as the other bags I have and it's got a drawstring rather than a zipper.  This Dri-bag has very quickly become my favorite "wet bag!"  I love the size of it!  The fabric is thicker than the fabric on my other bags.  It's not stretchy, but it seems more wipeable.  Despite having a drawstring rather than a zipper, I truly think it doesn't smell as much as the others do!  Like I said, it's become my favorite.  AND it holds a TON of diapers!

There are 15 diapers and about a dozen wipes in there!

Driline Baby is only available through very select retails, which you can find on their website.  There are currently only two retailers listed on the website, but there are more coming soon!

Driline Baby has graciously offered to send one of my lucky readers a Travel Change Pad!

This isn't a product I reviewed, but based on the quality of the products I did review, I am sure it'll be a great quality pad!  (Contest will end and a winner will be drawn Tuesday, June 14 at 11:59am EST.)

Earth Month - BubuBibi Review and Giveaway

CLOSED

I like trim fitting diapers that fit easily under Stinky's blue jeans without being ultra bulky.  I like diapers that have a similar fit to a disposable, without being disposable.  That's hard to find!

I wish I'd found BubuBibi sooner!

BubuBibi diapers are super trim.  They truly are a trim fit!  They're cute.  Don't you love the jeans look?  It's like those blue jean Huggies a while back, only reusable!  And they're absorbent, even though you'd never guess it by the thrimness of the bamboo inserts!

The blue jean diaper came with two inserts.  It's a one size pocket, and most of the time one insert is plenty, even for Stinky.  I do use the extra insert for overnight, but when I do this, I put one insert in the pocket and lay the other in the diaper.  I could easily stuff both in the pocket, but I just don't.

The fit is good.  There are cross-over tabs, which I love, and which I think I would need if Stinky were any smaller.  He's right in between two snaps on his waist, and since the diaper is stretchy enough and doesn't leave marks, I choose the smaller size so that he's less likely to leak.  This does cause a tiny bit of pulling on the bottom of the tabs, but not enough that it disrupts the function of the diaper!

The BubuBibi diapers are pretty trim though the crotch, too.  I'd like them to be just a tad trimmer, but this is just a cloth diaper "issue," I think, not a BubuBibi issue.

Check out that Cheeto face!  Here he is in action in his jean diaper!  Stinky actually wore this diaper a couple weeks ago for the Race for the Cure.  He was in it a looooong time...probably about 5 daytime hours...and had just started to leak a tiny bit around the legs.  I think that's pretty absorbent!

I also received a soccer ball print diaper!  I don't know if you can tell, but the tabs are different on this one.  On the jean diaper, the snaps are in a triangle shape, so there's one down below that helps hold the wings in place.  On the soccer ball diaper, they're just in a straight line.  I really prefer the triangle snaps of the jean diaper!

This is also a pocket, but the pocket is at the front of the diaper and has a snap to hold in the insert.  I tend to
just snap the insert and lay it in the diaper, although it is easy to stuff.  I just think that since I have the option to lay it on top, and it's easier, that's what I do.

It's the same deal with the snaps, though...Stinky's in between sizes!  Since the material is stretchy, I can pull them just a bit snug.  Stinky doesn't mind, and the stretch of the fabric gives enough when he's crawling that he's still comfortable.

Hes not always in the mood for a photo shoot!  He's got extra stuffing here for overnight, because the single insert in this diaper isn't enough for my heavy overnight wetter!

BubuBibi sent me a wetbag to review as well!  I'm not in love with the print of the bag, but I do love the bag! On the day of the Race for the Cure, I was able to stuff 5 diapers in the bag with room to spare.  Unfortunately, I didn't think to take a picture of the stuffed bag.

The bag was leak proof and held up really well!  It's the same stretchy material as the diapers, and it works really well!

We were also sent disposable diaper liners.  I have used them a few times and really like them, but haven't been able to for a few days because of a major diaper rash.  I really enjoy using them, though!  I hadn't even really given it a thought before.

Thank you, BubuBibi, for this awesome package!  I'm really impressed with your diapers, particularly as a great way for lower income mamas to start a stash!  At just $8-10 a diaper, they're much more affordable than many!  You can purchase BubuBibi diapers and accessories, as well as products from several other brands, here!

Give it away Friday - Green Bumkin review and giveaway

CLOSED

I'll admit it.  I'm one of "those" cloth diapering moms that, until a couple weeks ago, put the dirty diapers in *gasp* a plastic grocery sack to bring home.  That's right.  I was a wetbag-less mess!  And quite honestly, this was sometimes a deterrent from choosing cloth if we'd be away from home.

And then I was offered the chance to review a small wetbag and 2 wipes from Green Bumkin.  I'd recently started making the switch to cloth wipes, so I jumped at the chance!

I think it's a little silly to carry a huge diaper bag, along with my purse, for short trips, but I do think it's important to have a spare diaper (or two!) along for the ride.  I've started carrying my Green Bumkin wetbag as a mini-diaper bag, of sorts, for these shorter outings!

There are two clean OS pocket diapers and a travel pack of wipes inside the bag in this picture!

After I use one of the diapers, I stick the second diaper and the wipes pack in my purse and use the wetbag as...well...a wetbag!  It works great!  It's perfectly waterproof and machine washable.  The inner lining does come out of the bag during washing, but it's super simple to tuck it back in and go!  I LOVE that Green Bumkin wetbags are totally customizable!  I got to choose my fabric, pul, and zipper colors!  (I chose my fabric and then told Amy from Green Bumkin my top two pul/zipper choices and let her pick which looked better.)

And the wipes are fabulous!  I know when Amy makes these, she's making them for cleaning little bums, but I love them for wiping faces as well!  They're super soft flannel on one side and organic bamboo terry on the other.  They hold up great to washing and...wiping.  I love these!

You can buy wetbags in a variety of customizable sizes, as well as wipes and other items, from Green Bumkin's etsy shop!
